The Alaska Libertarian Party executive committee held a press conference on Monday to say that even though the party hasn’t been asked by U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski to nominate her (if she loses the Republican primary), that even if the party is asked, it will decline.Per Eric Dondero at LibertarianRepublican.net, the vote of the Alaska Libertarian Party's central committee was a unanimous 5 to 0 not to allow incumbent Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski to run on their party's line should she not eke out a victory in the final tally of her own party's primary. So there should not be a 3-way race for Alaska Senate (which, judging by the PPP polling, is actually good news for the Democrats).
[UPDATE at 10:27 AM]: David Dayen makes the point that there yet could be a 3-way Senate rate: if Murkowski gets the GOP nod, the Libertarians may go with Miller. At this point, however, with Miller leading and the National Republican Senatorial Committee abandoning Murkowski, the odds look quite good for a 2-way contest between Miller and McAdams.
