Chris Christie Waits 2 Days to Take Responsibility for Own Admin's Incompetence

On Wednesday it emerged that the administration of rising GOP star Chris Christie made a major mistake that cost the state of New Jersey $400 million. Quite remarkably, later that day Christie tried to shift blame to President Obama for his own administration's incompetence. But now, fully two days later, Christie appears to finally be owning up to the costly error, according to Steve Scott of WCBS:

Not exactly a profile in courage -- telling the press that the buck stops over there for a couple of days before finally taking responsibility for a mistake under one's own watch. And this guy is supposed to be a model for the GOP's resurgence?

[UPDATE at 9:35 AM]: As bad as the past few days have been for Christie -- and they have been bad, with his administration making a mistake that cost his state $400 million, his failure to show leadership characteristics by seeking seeking to shift blame for his own administration's mistake to the President, and then finally his decision days later to accept blame for the error -- they may soon be getting worse. The Newark Star-Ledger has gotten ahold of video evidence directly refuting Christie's assertion that it was the Obama administration's fault New Jersey lost out in hundreds of millions of dollars in funding. It doesn't look like this story is going away any time soon...
