Harry Reid uses the most efficacious form of political attack -- actually using your opponent's words against her:
Education is a kind of funny issue; although the Beltway tends to ignore it, it can be extremely salient to voters. How much so? Looking at the Politico polling (.pdf) discussed earlier here at Polising.com, while just 56 percent of Beltway elites call the issue of education "very important," fully 70 percent of Americans rate the issue that highly. Indeed, more Americans rate education as "very important" than do any other issue outside of the economy and jobs. Little wonder, then, Harry Reid is going after Sharron Angle for her clearly extreme position on the topic -- and doing so by using her own words.
