Fox/Rasmussen Show Terrible Numbers for GOP in DE-Sen

Just brutal numbers for the Republicans and Tea Partiers from the latest Fox News poll (.pdf) out of the Delaware Senate race, conducted by Rasmussen Reports' Pulse Opinion Research:

If the 2010 election for United States Senate were held today would you vote for Republican Christine O’Donnell or Democrat Chris Coons?

Chris Coons (D): 54 percent
Christine O'Donnell (R): 39 percent

Which of the following best describes how the Tea Party movement will affect your vote for SENATE this year?

Your vote will be to express support for the Tea Party movement: 26 percent
Your vote will be to express opposition to the Tea Party movement: 41 percent
Tea Party movement will not be a factor in your vote: 30 percent

Had the GOP nominated Mike Castle, the party would have led by 15 points in this race; instead it trails by 15 points. The reasons for this range from the negative sentiments towards the Tea Party (see: above) to the general view that Democrat Chris Coons is qualified to be Senator (59 percent) and that Republican Christine O'Donnell is unqualified (60 percent). Just brutal.
