The White House might not want to call this a shakeup, but the fact is that a majority of his economic team will be new by next year.I can't quite understand why the administration wouldn't want to frame this as a major change. I mean I suppose the White House is loath to throw its people under the bus, particularly when it believes -- rightly -- that the administration's actions helped forestall what could have been a depression rather than a deep recession. But Americans are clearly unhappy with the economic results coming out of this administration. Presumably the President is as well. Why not be willing to send the signal to the American people that a new team is on the way?

Shakeup in the Economic Team
