Joe Miller's Closing Message: "I Lied"

I can't imagine this is what Republican Joe Miller wants Alaska voters thinking when thtey go to the polls to elect their next Senator.
Republican Senate nominee Joe Miller admitted in 2008 that he lied after being caught using Fairbanks North Star Borough computers for political purposes when he was a part-time borough lawyer.

"I lied about accessing all of the computers. I then admitted about accessing the computers, but lied about what I was doing. Finally, I admitted what I did," Miller wrote in a March 17, 2008, e-mail to Fairbanks North Star Borough Attorney Rene Broker.
Miller's admission of lying is at the top of the Anchorage Daily News' website at present, as well as on the websites of Alaska television stations KTUU and KTVA. It's also the lead story for the website of the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner. One would imagine the story will lead these outlets news coverage tonight and into tomorrow. With one week to go, the Alaska Senate race is all the sudden about the admitted lies of the GOP nominee -- not a particularly good development, especially considering it's a real race. The Democrats, and their nominee Scott McAdams, may yet be able to pull off a fast one on the Republicans.

  1. Dunno about that. I'd guess that anyone who is might have voted for Miller in the first place is going to vote Murkowski if they drop Miller. It's too bad, McAdams would make an interesting Senator but I can't see him pick up votes from Miller.
